3 Injured After Tesla Collides With Road Ranger on I-95 in Miami-Dade

Three people were hospitalized after a Tesla collided with a Road Ranger truck on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County early Wednesday.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 at Northwest 103rd Street around 5:15 a.m.

According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety, the Road Ranger truck was blocking the left express lane while helping to clear the scene of a previous crash when the Tesla struck the truck.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded and took both passengers inside the Road Ranger to Jackson North Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Tesla was taken to Ryder Trauma Center with severe, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials said the Road Ranger had traffic cones, emergency lighting and an arrow board activated for the lane closure.

The crash remains under investigation.
