More Details Emerge Around Celebrity Favorite Sexy Fish’s Upcoming Miami Outpost

Another buzzy restaurant import is coming to Miami, this time by way of the United Kingdom. London celebrity magnet Sexy Fish is opening its first U.S. outpost in Brickell this fall.

Sexy Fish was originally slated to debut in September 2020, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The restaurant plans to serve a Japanese-influenced menu created by chef Bjoern Weissgerber, who helped lead the kitchen at Zuma Miami when it first opened in 2010. The restaurant will feature plenty of its popular dishes from its original location such as duck salad, vegetarian sushi, smoked tuna belly, black cod, King crab, and cheesecake.

The bar at Sexy Fish Miami promises to have the largest selection of Dom Perignon in the United States, alongside Opus One wines and cheekily named cocktails like the Faith in Paloma, Pornstar, and Son of Gibraltar. Plus, it’ll offer entertainment and DJ’s will be well into the night.

This certainly won’t be a low-key spot. Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the look and feel of Sexy Fish Miami will be over-the-top, featuring 10 artworks by Damien Hirst, an installation by Frank Gehry comprised of 26 fish lamps, a ceiling adorned with gold, and a fish tank filled with live coral and a colorful tropical fish.

Sexy Fish originally debuted in London in 2015 and quickly became a favorite of celebs like Katy PerryHugh Jackman, and Jennifer Lawrence. The restaurant is the brainchild of luxury restaurateur Richard Caring, the man behind private members’ club, Annabel’s. Caring is also a major shareholder in Soho House group.

Sexy Fish Miami is slated to open at 1001 South Miami Avenue. For more information visit sexyfishmiami.com.
