Permit Filed For Vertical Construction At 100-Story Waldorf Astoria, Contractor Named

A permit application was filed this week with Miami’s Building Department to begin vertical construction at the Waldorf Astoria supertall tower.

City records show that the permit application was filed on April 4.

Separately, a foundation permit was filed in October 2021 and is nearing approval.

According to the newly filed permit, the Waldorf Astoria will include:

  • 375 condo units
  • 205 lodging units
  • 5,284 square feet of restaurant
  • 6,171 square feet of office
  • 1,513 square feet of retail
  • 11 floors of parking

Total hard construction cost is estimated at $426 million.

John Moriarty Associates Florida is listed as the contractor.
