Four people, including a child, were shot in Miami late Thursday night, and police are searching for whoever pulled the trigger.

One of the victims was found dead at the scene.

The child, who was grazed by a bullet, and two adult victims are in stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

According to Miami police, they received a ShotSpotter alert of several rounds fired in the area of Northwest 50th Street and 18th Avenue at about 11:50 p.m. Thursday.

The investigation continues Friday morning, with K9 units arriving at the scene to look for clues.

A woman who lives in the neighborhood says this kind of violence isn’t uncommon.

“I looked down and there was a dead body right there at the door,” she said. “This is something that goes on in our neighborhood quite a lot.”
