Miami Beach’s empty former golf course (located at 2795 Prairie Avenue) is on its way to being transformed in to a beautiful 19-acre public park. Inclusive of a lake with scenic walking paths, an outdoor amphitheater, exercise equipment, a children’s playground, a dog park, a butterfly garden, shady pavilions, and six tennis courts; the $15.7 million G.O. Bond project will greatly enhance the Bayshore Park neighborhood.
Also great for the flood-prone area is how the park lake was designed. With cutting-edge resilience infrastructure, the lake will function as a water retainer, helping to keep surrounding streets dry.
Construction is expected to start in early 2021 with completion anticipated for late 2022.
