A groundbreaking ceremony was held this morning in Edgewater for the first 62-story Aria Reserve tower.
Aria Reserve will have two 62-story towers. The groundbreaking ceremony was for the south tower.
Completion of the south tower is scheduled for 2024. The north tower is scheduled for completion in early 2025, Melo said today.
Melo also said that Aria Reserve will become the tallest dual-tower waterfront residential project in the United States.
As part of the project, the public baywalk will be extended.
“Our group is pleased to be able to contribute to Miami’s Baywalk, which will connect Brickell to downtown and Edgewater,” said Martin Melo.
Sales have been strong, with over 95% of units in the south tower now reserved. The north tower just launched sales in recent months and is already 50% reserved.
Miami Zoning Department records show that a decision was recently issued on waivers needed for the project.
Melo Group is the developer. Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica is the architect.
