Sports fans in Miami are now one step closer to knowing what the upcoming season will look like.
The Miami Dolphins tweeted Monday that the Hard Rock Stadium will allow a 20 percent capacity, about 13,000 fans, for the home opener of the 2020 season on September 20th, a move made amid social distancing concerns due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 20 percent cap would likely be set for each of the Dolphins’ eight home games and the Hurricanes’ six home games that start September 10 against Alabama-Birmingham.
Tailgating will not be allowed for the entire 2020 season while touchless entry points will be installed to avoid crowds at the stadium.
For our home opener against the Bills at @HardRockStadium we will have a maximum of 13,000 fans. All fans will be required to wear a mask.
