FENDI Caffe Returns To Miami Design District

The only thing more glamorous than sipping on a latte surrounded by art and fashion in downtown Miami is sipping on a FENDI latte.

The FENDI Caffe has returned to the Miami Design District, bringing high fashion to a dynamic cafe setting.

A special opening brunch on March 17th celebrated the Caffe’s return. FENDI brunched with models and influencers such as Amy Lefévre, Jasmine Sanders and Isabela Rangel Grutman, who have already shared their FENDI looks and lattes on Instagram.

Inspired by FENDI Women’s Spring/Summer 2022 Collection, the Caffe is a colorful, sleek invitation into the world of Kim Jones’ FENDI.

The S/S 22 collection draws its inspiration from the figurative drawings of legendary fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez.

Lopez, who passed away in 1987, was a friend and source of inspiration for Karl Lagerfeld.

“While I’ve been looking at Karl’s legacy at the house, I’ve also been looking around him, at his contemporaries – at who he was interested in. Lopez was a friend of Karl’s, and has always been someone who inspired me. He was forward thinking; inclusive; looked up to by everyone from Andy Warhol to Steven Meisel and David Hockney. I wanted to introduce him to a new generation,” said Jones.

FENDI has collaborated with The Estate and Archive of Antonio Lopez and Juan Ramos to resurrect the late artist’s work.

The collection re-interprets Lopez’s illustrations, transforming his 2-D drawings into wearable, luxury pieces, from kaftans to enamel hair accessories. An exaltation of the feminine form and an ode to 1970s disco glamour, the collection fuses muses of the past with the design ingenuity of the present.

Visitors at the FENDI Caffe can immerse themselves in Antonio’s artistry. Housed in a bright yellow building, the Caffe is an invitation into the world of Antonio Lopez.

The menu is just as exciting as the location, including, “a fusion of local and Italian favorite breakfast and lunch items, as well as beverages including a signature FF logo cappuccino served in porcelain cups decorated with FENDI’s signature Pequin striped motif. An evening Aperitivo menu will also be offered. Sweet and savory bites will include special FF logo toast and paninis, as well as a variety of pastries and baked goods in special FENDI packaging,” according to the release.

A kaleidoscope of warm colors and life-size illustrations, FENDI Caffe is a destination for fashion (and coffee) lovers in the Miami area. Head over to this design district destination to channel the confidence and allure of Lopez’s beloved designs.
