In bloody incident, Broward man throws daughter out of window after attacking girlfriend

A baby is fighting for her life in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Broward Health Medical Center, possibly with a brain hemorrhage, Broward County Police (BSO) said. The mother of the little girl does not know, since she is also in the Intensive Care Unit of the same hospital, trying to survive the stabbing she suffered in the throat, face and liver.

The serious injuries were inflicted on him Saturday morning by Pierre Francois, BSO investigators said several witnesses testified, one of them Francois’s own mother.

Francois, 29, was taken to Broward’s main jail, charged with three counts of attempted murder, one count of aggravated assault with a knife, and one count of domestic violence. A bond of $ 550,000 was set.

In the arrest report it was said that Francois’s mother spoke to investigators in the hospital emergency room, and detectives saw “large injuries to both forearms” that she said she sustained when she defended herself from Francois’s attack, which He went over with a knife, while yelling at him not to hurt his mother.

Francois did not prosecute that the person he was attacking was his mother, the woman said. Francois has long been diagnosed with schizophrenia, the woman said, but does not take the medications.

A BABY IN THE PATIO, A GRANDMA AT THE DOOR

According to the arrest report, when BSO patrols reached the 2700 block of NW 12 Lane, patrols found the baby lying face down in the front yard of a nearby home. Francois fled the house, but was captured shortly after a short distance from the scene, while patrols found his girlfriend with knife wounds to her throat and face.

The neighbor called 911 after hearing a loud knock on the door of her house, according to the report. The neighbor told the BSO that she found Francois’s mother, covered in blood from the wounds the man inflicted on her. Francois’s mother told the neighbor that her son had a schizophrenic attack. The neighbor stated that she saw Francois throw the baby through a window of the house, then escape from the house, and the girlfriend when she was taken to the hospital by rescuers.

At the hospital, Francois’s mother told police that she was sleeping when her son stormed into the bedroom and began banging on the walls. She begged him to stop before he hurt himself. The man obeyed, but then he started hitting her. In the midst of the violence and the screaming, the woman tried to tell Francois that she was his mother.

Soon after, she collapsed, the victim said, all bloody, and unable to stand. Meanwhile, Francois went in search of his girlfriend who was carrying the girl. The mother said she heard Francois hit his girlfriend.

After running to the neighbors for help, the grandmother said she heard her granddaughter screaming.
