A gas leak Thursday morning kept a major intersection closed in Miami Beach.
Chopper 6 was over the scene in an alley near 8th Street and Ocean Drive. The Boulevard Hotel located in the area was evacuated as a result of the leak.
Traffic was being rerouted at 9th Street to Collins Avenue and drivers were advised to avoid the area as workers continued efforts to stop the leak.
The leak was capped shortly before 9:30 a.m.
