Tory Lanez shocked fans by wiping his social media accounts clean after posting a cryptic message one year after Megan Thee Stallion shooting allegations.
Megan previously accused the rapper of shooting her in both feet following an altercation last July
Tory is facing charges related to the incident and has a hearing scheduled for tomorrow, according to court records obtained by Radar.
Fans questioned the fate of the Canadian rapper after he tweeted “It’s been real .” before deleting his social media history on all accounts.
The 29-year-old entered a plea of not guilty back in November 2020 and was ordered by a judge to keep his distance from Megan.
However, Tory may have gotten himself in hot water after he joined a surprise set with DaBaby at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami at the end of July minutes after the Hot Girl Summer singer performed on the same stage.
As TMZ first reported, the move may have violated a restraining order Megan was granted that says Tory must stay “at least 100 yards” away from her at all times.
Megan – who’s real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete – was backstage while Tory was doing his set.
The Los Angeles County D.A.’s office along with Miami Police Department were contacted about the possible violation of her protective order, the publication alleged.
According to the outlet, the Savage songstress’ team is upset by the move and also that they performed one of Megan’s songs, Cash S**t.
“Those close to Megan feel this was a giant ‘f you’ to her, mocking her and the ongoing criminal case with Tory and in a way, menacing her,” they claimed.
Megan has previously collaborated with DaBaby on songs like Cash S**t, Nasty and Cry Baby.
However, after she accused rapper Tory – real name Daystar Peterson – of shooting her in the feet during an argument in a car last July, the pair had a falling out.
They even had a public Twitter spat after DaBaby joined forces with Tory for his SKAT music video.
ALLEGED SHOOTING
Tory was accused of shooting at Megan’s feet after she left a SUV during a fight in the Hollywood Hills on July 12, according to a release.
Megan was left with two wounds in her feet and hit out at the Canadian recording artist on social media at the time.
Sharing photos of her injuries, she wrote: “B**ch you shot me AND MY STORY NOT CHANGING AND B**CH YOU GOING TO JAIL.”
He faces two felony charges – assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
Tory pleaded not guilty through his attorney back in November for the charges.
He faces up to 22 years in prison if found guilty.
MEGAN VS. RECORD LABEL
Megan has also entered a legal battle with her record label, which she signed with when she was just 20 years old.
On August 24, 2021, it was reported that Megan is taking her record label to court following a song dispute.
In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Megan is claiming that her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, is attempting to stop the release of a new song with South Korean boy band BTS.
It was reported that the Grammy-award winner thinks this song will be good for growing her international fanbase but the label is stalling it so they could get more money out of the artist.
This is not the first time Megan has disputed with her label, back in 2020, after she tried to renegotiate her 2018 deal, she ended up filing a lawsuit after claiming her label was stalling her music and a Los Angeles court had to issue an order that prohibited the label from doing so.
When Megan signed with the company, her contract included a $10,000 signing bonus, 40% royalty split, 50% of her publishing, and 70% of her live performance money over $1,000. She also receives feature payments, endorsements, sponsorship, merchandise, and other ancillary revenue.
It is unknown what she was seeking in her renegotiation but following the lawsuit, she continued to release music with the label, including her 2021 song, Thot S***.
