TROY, Ohio — Miami County Sheriff Dave Duchak confirmed today that his office has ordered body cameras last year and they are expecting to implement them this spring.
Duchak said that they ordered 65 body cameras, which will be integrated with its existing cruiser cameras. Both are from Motorola WatchGuard.
The cost for all components, including servers, storages and other IT infrastructure was about $163,000.
The 65 cameras will allow each deputy to be issued one, with a few extras, should spares become necessary.
Duchak said that $25,000 of the funding came from the Robinson Fund, which is administered by the Troy Foundation.
