Soccer Megastar Lionel Messi Spends $5M on Porsche Design Tower Condo in Miami

Professional soccer player Lionel Messi purchased a pied-a-terre in South Florida’s Porsche Design Tower this fall. The Argentinian prodigy paid $5 million for the condo residence; the property had been listed at $7.5 million prior to the sale.

The duplex unit contains 2 bedrooms and 5 baths in its 3,130 square feet of interior living spaces; it is the only 2-bed unit in the building. The common living area is open concept, with a great room that rises to the ceiling of the second floor, and contains a wet bar. Materials and finishes used in the Porsche Design Tower are stunning, and this condo boasts a huge amount of highly figured marble to occupy the eyes.

The interior design employs a great deal of white and off-white, contrasting with black steel window and door frames and smoked glass. Other details include abundant glass with beach views, and a unique design feature of the Porsche Design Tower: an elevator for bringing your car up to your unit, and a glass-enclosed ‘garage’ that makes it part of the décor.

Messi, one of the most gifted players in the history of soccer, is captain of Barcelona and the national team of Argentina. Forbes estimates his annual earnings at over $100 million.
