The developers of the 55-story tower known as 710 Edge have applied for a permit to allow total demolition of several buildings on the property.

The permit applications for two adjacent waterfront buildings were submitted July 29, Miami Building Department records show.

One of the permits is for the Harbor 29 condo building.

According to that permit, a total of 16,000 square feet will be demolished at an estimated cost of $151,000.

The second permit is for the apartment building next door at 530 Northeast 29 Street, with a total of 4,590 square feet to be demolished at an estimated cost of $25,250.

Dade Wrecker Service is listed as the demolition contractor on both permits.

710 Edge is planned to top off at 55-stories – 646 feet above ground, or 649 feet above sea level. According to a filing with Miami planners last year, it will include:

• 70 residential units
• 193 parking spaces
• 16,489 square feet of commercial/restaurant/retail
• A rooftop helipad
• A public baywalk with landscaping and lighting
